Having a broad understanding of Personality Disorders will greatly round out any knowledge of assessing and treating Substance Use Disorders because it is very common to work with consumers who are diagnosed with a substance abuse problem and either Antisocial, Borderline, Narcissistic, or Histrionic. Although people rarely come into treatment specifically for a personality disorder, people mandated to treatment for substance abuse are very likely to have a comorbid Cluster B Personality Disorder. This workshop has limited space.
