Domestic violence occurs in an estimated 4 million intimate relationships each year in the United States and it has been reported that domestic violence causes more injury to women than cancer, heart attack, or stroke.

This workshop will specifically focus on an overview of the typology of a batterer, statistics of fatality, signs of a potential abuser, personality disorders often seen in this population, lethality assessment indicators of risk (red flags), how to help a victim, and developing safety plans.
